Don Roberts School of Hair Design offers multiple programs to help all students find the financial support needed to pursue their career.
Private loans/scholarships are available for those that qualify. Scholarships may be program and/or start date dependent.
Life Experience Waivers (LEW)
LEW is a private program that aids the education of those applicants that have life experiences that can support their private education at Don Roberts School of Hair Design. Currently enrolled students that choose to participate in more than one program can progressively benefit from LEW.
Don Roberts School of Hair Design are approved by the US Department of Education to participate in the following Title IV financial aid programs. The accreditation needed to provide these programs is voluntary and quite an accomplishment. Our most recent re-accreditation was completed with NO limitations. We are currently accredited by NACCAS.

The Pell Grant Program provides financial assistance to students that meets financial need set by the standards determined by the federal government. They are available to students who demonstrate financial need. Grants do not have to be repaid.
Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant:
Supplemental Grants are need based. Grants do not have to be repaid.
Federal Loan Programs
Subsidized Federal Direct Loans carry a fixed interest rate. Eligibility is based on financial need. This loan must be paid back. The federal government pays the interest on subsidized loan while in school.
Repayment begins six months after you leave school.
Non subsidized Federal Direct Loans carry a higher fixed interest rate. Eligibility is based on financial need. This loan must be paid back. The federal government does not pay the interest on unsubsidized loan while in school. Repayment begins six months after you leave school.
Plus Loan (Parent Loan):
These loans are borrowed by the parents of dependent students. Plus loan has a fixed interest rate. Repayment begins within 60 days after the loan is fully disbursed.
Veterans’ benefits programs:
The Military Spouse Career Advancement Account Program and the Chapter 30/Montgomery GI Bill provide assistance for veterans, their spouses, and dependent children.
The Don Roberts School of Hair Design campus accepts cash, checks and credits cards as various methods of payment.
All federal loan programs are available for those who qualify. The financial aid office is available to those applicants that would like assistance when filing for financial aid.
